Trains, planes, & automobiles!

This is my first shower hosted in Cleburne. As you can see, they
spared no detail, even the sweeteners were held in a bulldozer!
We got tons of presents, including the traveling system with an
extra base for dad's car. Thank you to Mamasita (Dianne), Kay, Aunt Teresa, Lacie, Morgan, Paige, Celestina, Calli, and AnneMarie!

chubby cheeks

Here is our little Carter @ 35 weeks! The sonographer said he has tons of hair, which was no surprise to us because his dad and I both have a lot of hair. I could just stare at this for hours, I can't wait to meet him. I hope he looks like his dad because I was an UGLY baby, no joke.

I am 36 weeks now and I'm getting a little nervous. I feel great physically, though my feet are swelling a bit. I must say I have enjoyed every bit of my pregnancy, I have been blessed in so many ways. I have to post my beautiful showers, so you can see just a fraction of it. I can't believe that he will be here in just a few weeks...

Sleep time...

It took several months, but it's finally done. I know the last post was a week ago showing me working on it, but that's just because we were slacking on updating this page. This thing is awesome though! It's so big and heavy. All black walnut. I'm so glad to have it done. Now I just hope he enjoys it... :)

What a dad...

I love taking pictures of Curtis working on the cradle. Although I know it will be some time, someday I hope Carter will appreciate these pictures, and I'm even praying that he inherits his dad's talent. He just amazes me. -CMS

Its been such a long time coming on trying to finish this, with work and training and cold weather, I'm glad to see it finally start to come together. Its somewhat of a relief as I feel like its the last major 'house-hurdle' I need to get done before the boy arrives. - CJS

32 down, 8 to go

So we've been going to childbirth & labor class on Wednesdays, which is the same day we count each week. Curtis gets more anxious everytime we go to class. Its kind of funny, but better him than me. I'm still sleeping well, but I have noticed a little swelling in my hands an feet. It varies from day to day. I'm still working, but do get fatigued a lot more easily these days. We've got a lot of work to do...

It's feast or famine around here Hollie. Read your little heart out. This one's dedicated to you. For the rest of you, Hollie is always getting onto me for not posting enough. The holidays got pretty busy as you can see.

Before & After

What a chore. Two days of work and it looks fantastic. There's still work to be done, but we have to wait on more stuff before we decide on the layout and all that business. It was good busy work because I had just found out I was supposed to get transferred to Chicago. It gave me a lot of time to think and talk to God.

Thanks mom for the awesome bedding! She surprised us with the whole set. And a very big thank you to the Whittens for the sweet chair. It matches perfect.

Happy Anniversary!

I'm 28 weeks now. I've been going to water aerobics and I really enjoy it. The best part is, who cares what you look like in a swim suit, because you're pregnant. This was our 3rd anniversary on New Year's Eve. And I got to wear my dress again, but this time I used plum as my accent color : ) Thank goodness for Mama Dianne and my maternity wardrobe.

I can't believe in two more weeks I'll only have 10 more weeks to go. It just seems like its going so fast.
